Conditions of Booking – Coombe House & Cottages
A 1/3 deposit is payable to secure your booking. Provisional bookings will be held for 7 days and must be confirmed by receipt of the deposit. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
Security Deposit - £200 for Coombe House, £100 for Cottages. To be paid in Cash on arrival.
DAMAGE, LOSS AND NUISANCE
The Hirer agrees:
To pay £200 damage deposit per week or part week for Coombe House
£100 damage deposit per week or part week per Cottage
a. That the supervision of children, babies, dogs and any adults requiring care remains the responsibility of the hirer at all times. In particular children under 14 must not be left unattended.
b. Notify owners of any damages and to pay for any damage or loss however caused, excluding reasonable wear and tear, incurred during occupation.
c. That they will be responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order and clean condition, otherwise an excess cleaning charge will be levied.
d. Not to cause nuisance or annoyance to occupants of nearby property.
e.To allow reasonable access to the property by the Owners or their agents if deemed necessary.
Damage discovered will be notified to the Hirer and costs charged against damage deposit and will be confirmed in writing within 21 days of vacation.
Refunded damage deposits will be returned to the hirer via cheque or BACS transfer within 21 days of vacation.
No Pets Allowed
No Smoking in Property.
We have ponds and streams in the grounds. Children must be supervised at all times.
The contract shall be in force when confirmation of the booking is made.
3pm on day of arrival – 10am on day of departure.
Please inform property owner of your estimated time of arrival at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
The guests possessions are always at their own risk, as is damage to any car and its contents.
Damage to the owners property shall be paid for by the hirer, at the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged item. Fair wear and tear excepted.
The use of amenities is entirely at the risk of the user and the owner accepts no responsibility to guests or third parties, or loss or damage to their belongings.
Only the number of persons agreed between the owner and the hirer may occupy the property.
During the term of the let the hirer is responsible for reasonable care of the property and its contents. All equipment and utensils must be left clean and the property tidy at the end of the let.
Every effort has been made to give a fair description of the property and facilities, and the owner can accept no legal responsibility for minor inaccuracies or mistakes.
Swimming Pool (Main House Only)
1. A responsible adult (usually the person who made the booking) will be required to sign for the pool keys on arrival.
2. Children must be supervised at all times and babies and toddlers are required to wear swim nappies.
3. Only guests who have booked Coombe House Main House are allowed to use the pool (this is for insurance reasons).
4. Pool must be covered when not in use to maintain temperature.
Once a booking is confirmed the Hirer is responsible for the total cost of the holiday. In the event of cancellation by the Hirer, the Owners will endeavour to re-let the property, and if successful may refund any monies paid less the deposit, which is non-returnable. Written notification of cancellation is required. We advise you to take out cancellation insurance.
If in the opinion of the Hirer there are grounds for complaint, it is the duty of the Hirer to take it up with the Owners or caretaker immediately and in any event before departure to allow remedial action to be taken. The Hirer should telephone the Owners on 01548 821277 or email CoombeHouse@hotmail.com if they are unable to see the owner in person.It is specifically agreed that failure by the Hirer to notify the Owners of any complaint in accordance with the above timescale, will entitle the Owners to refuse to entertain the complaint, irrespective of its merits.
