Coombe House and Cottages - South Devon Cottages

An idyllic setting
Coombe House and cottages are situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in rural Devon. This elegant Georgian house built in the 1700s, is set in 33 acres of beautiful countryside and stands at the head of a broad valley, bordered by meadows and woodland.  The house lies within 4 miles of Dartmoor National Park and within easy reach of some of the cleanest beaches in England.  The many coves around the costline make the area a swimming and sailing paradise.  The costal path offers superb walks and magnificent scenery.  There is easy access to several National Trust properties and Gardens.  The historic towns of Totnes and Darthmouth are a short distance away.   There are excellent pubs and restaurants nearby.

The beautiful gardens feature a lake, a stream and a small pond where wildlife abounds. As you stroll around the gardens you will probably encounter moorhens, pheasants or ducks, and if you take an evening walk in the woods you may catch a glimpse of a badger, fox or deer. Bird life is varied, look out for buzzards, sparrowhawks, woodpeckers, owls and several garden birds.
